I was 19 when I found out I was pregnant
Author: Anonymous
When I was growing up, both of my parents were drug addicts. My grandma was the rock in our family. She ended up raising me.
I was 19 when I found out I was pregnant, and at that point I was already a mother of one. My boyfriend was shaken. I didn’t know what to do, and I didn’t have any support. I just wanted someone there to support me and love me.
I ended up having an abortion. The abortion took me down a lot of roads I never thought I would go, from drugs to promiscuity…All because of the abortion.
One morning I was eating breakfast when this man came up to me and said, “God bless you.” I felt like, at that moment, God was right there with me. When I finally surrendered, it was like a boom.
Today, I volunteer for a nonprofit organization that helps post-abortive women. The Bible says that we are overcomers when we share our story and our testimony. Even though my decision was tragic, God has brought so much life out of it.

You are a strong woman for going through what you did and still be here to share your testimony. Know you are not alone. I went through twelve years of guilt, hatred, anger, sorrow and put myself through promiscuity with low-life men. I was admitted twice in a psychiatric institution. I received baptism a year ago. Now, I am healed and forgiven by the grace of God through Jesus Christ. I know my child is with God in heaven. I will never forget what I have done to my precious baby, but I can live knowing one day, I will be able to embrace my child in my arms. The same will be for you. Stay strong and may God always bless and keep you.
